In light of the East Lancs League now recording doubles performances in league matches, the clubs first doubles competition took place this week. Doubles partners were paired at random as follows:

Darren Wright + Rob Tokeley
Dylan Storey + Mariuz
Richard Tokeley + Liam Walsh
Harry Charalambous + Lorant
Jim Balmforth + Ken Jenson
Nicholas Pongourou + Jack Cooney
George Jenson + Jordan Moore

Darren Wright and Rob Tokeley got a by in the first round seeing them through to the semi’s without hitting a ball! Young Guns team mates Richard Tokeley and Liam Walsh were victorious after taking on fellow team mate Dylan Storey + Mariuz in the first round, followed by George Jenson and Jordan Moore, finally beating Nicholas Pongourou and Jack Cooney in the final. It was a clean sweep on the night for Richard and Liam winning all of their matches 3-0.
