Match Report Grand Prix 2

This weeks action saw a welcomed return for Gary ‘lights out’ Broughton who had spent 150k on surgery to his toe nail in Germany in a bid to get back to the pinnacle of table tennis action. But it was his new sports direct sneaks that made the headlines with the rest of the squad having to wear specialist shades in order to see the old wizard move around the table. Never the less he exited in Round 1. It was also great to see flash and festival back in action, and as per the luck of the draw they faced each other in the opening round which saw Flash progress to face Die Hard Neil Barnes who was on Holiday from Sunny Barbados.

Also in action were the ever consistent One Direction lads who had showed real community spirit by letting their bodyguard have a taste of the table tennis action on Monday nights. The night started off in a sombre mood as it was announced that rising star Dylan ‘Toy’ Storey will be side lined for around 3 weeks having hurt his ankle wrestling Ray ‘the Godfather’ Birch in his back yard on Sunday over 3 one minute rounds.

Attached are the updated tables with Liam ‘Benidorm’ Walsh sitting top of the pile.

The next Grand Prix series will take place on Monday 24th Feb where the committee and his Dog have decided that it will be a huge double points week!
